Aftagard is a mildly sweet -ointment-type- mouth ulcer treatment. It adheres well to oral mucosa, providing solid protection for mouth ulcers. The anti-inflammatory ingredient triamcinolone acetonide calms inflammation at the affected site, improving mouth ulcers.-Canker sores (aphthous ulcers)- refer to a general term for inflammation where one to several small, painful, shallow ulcers (less than 10mm in diameter) appear on the inside of the cheeks, tongue, or underside of the lips. These ulcers have a reddish border and a shallow, whitish center. The exact cause is unclear, but stress, fatigue, or an unbalanced diet are thought to be contributing factors.

Dosage and Administration-Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once to several times daily. -Usage Instructions- 1. Wash your hands thoroughly and keep your fingertips clean. 2. Rinse your mouth clean. 3. Gently press with tissue paper or gauze to wipe away moisture and saliva around the affected area.(Note: If the affected area is too dry, the ointment may not adhere well.) 4. When opening the tube for the first time, use the pointed end opposite the cap. Wipe moisture or saliva from your fingertip with tissue paper or gauze, then take just enough ointment from the tube to cover the affected area onto your fingertip. 5. Apply the ointment around the affected area, ensuring it covers it completely, using a mirror if necessary.After application, avoid touching the area with your tongue and refrain from eating or drinking for a while. (It is best to apply after meals or before bedtime.) 6. After thoroughly wiping any ointment adhering to the tube opening or surrounding area with tissue paper or gauze, secure the cap tightly. (Moisture may cause the ointment to harden.) -Precautions Regarding Usage and Dosage- (1) Strictly adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage.(2) When used for children, administer under the guidance and supervision of a parent or guardian. (3) This product is for oral use only; do not use for any other purpose. (4) Discontinue use once the pain subsides. (5) Avoid eating or drinking for a while after use. (6) Do not use for purposes other than treatment, such as denture adhesion.
