Product Details
Ryukakusan is a throat medicine primarily composed of herbal ingredients (balloon flower root, senega root, Chinese licorice root, and licorice root) that enhance cough-suppressing and expectorant effects. The inner surface of the human trachea is covered with ciliated cells. These cilia vibrate continuously at a speed of approximately 1,500 times per minute, while the tracheal wall secretes mucus.Dust, dirt, bacteria, and other particles entering the airway are trapped by this mucus and expelled from the body by the beating of the cilia. This is the body's natural cleansing mechanism. Overuse of the throat, smoking, or inhaling polluted air can cause throat inflammation, pain, or phlegm buildup, impairing this cleansing ability and leading to a troublesome cough.Taking Ryukakusan at such times allows the active saponin glycoside components from bellflower and senega root to enhance mucus secretion from the tracheal lining, invigorate ciliary movement, remove phlegm, suppress coughing, and alleviate inflammation.
