Purax is a sterilizing disinfectant containing 6% sodium hypochlorite.Sodium hypochlorite is highly regarded for its safety, affordability, and reliable efficacy. It is widely used for water disinfection in applications such as municipal water supplies, swimming pools, and sewage systems, as well as for hygiene in medical environments and microbial control in food processing plants. The expiration date for this product is March 2025 at both the Yoshikawa Asahi Store and the Sakai Minamijimacho Store.

Usage and Dosage for Public Health (Usage) Disinfection of drinking water... (Dosage) Add, inject, or drip to maintain free residual chlorine at 0.1 mg/L (or 0.4 mg/L for combined residual chlorine) relative to the estimated volume for disinfection and sterilization.*Specific amounts vary depending on the water quality to be disinfected. As a guideline, add, inject, or drip approximately 17 mL of this product per 1000 L of water. Measure and confirm the residual chlorine concentration, then adjust the amount of this product accordingly.(Usage) Disinfection of dining utensils, disinfection of food manufacturing equipment... (Dosage) 300-fold dilution of this agent (approx. 3.3 mL of this agent per 1 L of water). Clean and rinse the target object, then soak for several minutes to disinfect and sterilize.(Usage) Disinfection of medical instruments... (Dosage) 300-fold dilution of this product (approx. 3.3 mL of this product per 1 L of water). After washing and rinsing the target items, immerse them for several minutes to disinfect and sterilize.(Usage) Disinfection with bleaching effect for hospital sheets, bandages, gowns, diapers, etc. ... (Dosage) Immerse in a 100- to 200-fold dilution of this product (approximately 10 mL to 5 mL of this product per 1 L of water) to bleach and disinfect/sterilize.(Usage) Disinfection of swimming pool water... (Dosage) Measure the pool water volume and add, inject, or drip this product to maintain a residual chlorine level of 0.4 mg/L or higher for disinfection and sterilization. *The specific amount varies depending on the water quality to be disinfected, but as a guideline, add, inject, or drip approximately 17 mL of this product per 1000 L of water.
