- -Kakkonto- is a formula recorded in the Chinese medical texts -Shanghan Lun- and -Jingui Yaolue,- considered classics of Kampo medicine. It is effective for colds and stiff shoulders.- It is effective for symptoms at the onset of a cold, such as fever, chills, and persistent coldness. Health Advice Rest your body. To recover quickly from a cold, get plenty of sleep and keep your body at rest. Also, aim for nutritionally balanced meals to build up your strength. Pay attention to ventilation. Polluted air can trigger coughing.Even when using heating, open windows periodically to exchange stale air for fresh air. Also be mindful of low humidity levels. Keep warm. When you have a cold, easy-to-digest foods like rice porridge or warm milk are suitable. Drinking ginger tea is also one way to warm your body.

Take the following dosage three times daily before meals or between meals with water or warm water.- Adults (15 years and older) ... 1 packet per dose, 3 times daily - Children 7 years and older but under 15 years ...Take 2/3 packet once, 3 times daily. - Children aged 4 to under 7 years old: Take 1/2 packet once, 3 times daily. - Children aged 2 to under 4 years old: Take 1/3 packet once, 3 times daily. - Children under 2 years old: Do not administer. When administering to children, ensure it is taken under the guidance and supervision of a parent or guardian.
The daily adult dose of 12 tablets (400 mg per tablet) contains the following ingredients:Kakkont- Extract (1/2 dose)---2600mg [Extracted from 4g Kudzu root, 2g each Magnolia bark and Cinnamon bark, 1.5g each Cinnamon twig and Peony root, 1g Licorice root, 0.5g Ginger root.] Contains the following additives: Cellulose, CMC-Ca, Aluminum silicate, Cross-linked CMC-Na,Stearic acid Mg, and Silicon dioxide. Since this product uses extracts from natural substances (herbal medicines), the color of the tablets may vary slightly.
