This antidiarrheal medication, primarily composed of berberine chloride, is effective for diarrhea, food poisoning, waterborne illness, and loose stools.

Take the single dose indicated below. Allow at least 4 hours between doses. Also, stop taking it once diarrhea subsides.- Adults (15 years and older)---Single dose: 1 tablet, Up to 2 doses per day - Under 15 years old---Do not take (1) Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. (2) How to remove the tablet: As shown in the figure on the right, firmly press the raised part of the PTP sheet containing the tablet with your fingertip to break the aluminum foil backing, then remove and take the tablet.(Swallowing the tablet whole may cause it to pierce the esophageal lining or lead to other unexpected accidents.) Each daily adult dose of 6 tablets (298 mg per tablet) contains the following ingredients: Berberine hydrochloride hydrate (JP)-...300 mg (antidiarrheal (antibacterial, inhibits production of harmful substances from intestinal putrefaction and fermentation, suppresses intestinal motility, promotes bile secretion)) Thiamine nitrate (JP) (Vitamin B1)...25 mg (supplements Vitamin B1) Hawthorn powder...400 mg (antidiarrheal via promoting digestion) Additives include hydroxypropyl cellulose,talc, reduced maltose syrup, cellulose, silicon dioxide, povidone, CMC-Ca, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, acesulfame K, and carnauba wax.
