-Ma Huang Tang- is a formula recorded in the Shang Han Lun, a classical Chinese medical text considered a cornerstone of Kampo medicine. It has been used since ancient times for the initial symptoms of colds. It is effective for colds and nasal colds at the onset, when chills, fever, headache, and body aches are present.

Take the following dosage three times daily before meals or between meals with water or warm water. Age: Single Dose: Daily Dose Adults (15 years and older): 2 tablets: 3 times Under 15 years, 5 years and older: 1 tablet: 3 times Under 5 years: Do not administer.
Adult daily dose: 6 tablets (300mg per tablet) containing Ephedra Decoction Extract (2/3 dose) ... 1280mg (extracted from Ephedra sinica, Cinnamomum cassia each 3.33g, Cinnamomum cassia bark 2.67g, Glycyrrhiza 1.00g). Contains the following additives: talc, silicon dioxide, cross-linked CMC-Na,magnesium stearate, cellulose, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol, ferric oxide, iron oxide, and carnauba wax.
Do not do the following (Failure to comply may worsen current symptoms or increase the risk of side effects.) 1. Do not take this medicine if you fall into any of the following categories: - Individuals with a weak constitution (those with diminished physical strength or frail health) 2. Limit use to short-term periods only; do not use continuously.
