- -Sh-saikot-- is a formula recorded in the Shanghan Lun, a Chinese medical text considered a classic of Kampo medicine. It is used when there is a feeling of fullness and pressure from the solar plexus to the upper abdomen and sides, accompanied by loss of appetite, nausea, a bitter taste in the mouth, or a sticky sensation.- It is effective for symptoms such as lingering fatigue after catching a cold before full recovery, or a weakened digestive system with loss of appetite. Adult Daily Dose: 3 packets (1 packet = 1.5g) contains the following ingredients.Sho-saiko-to Extract (1/2 dose)---2700mg [Extracted from Bupleurum root 3.5g, Citrus peel 2.5g, Ginger 0.5g, Scutellaria root, Ginseng root, and Poria 1.5g each, Licorice root 1.0g.] Contains hydroxypropyl cellulose and lactose as excipients. Since this product uses extracts from natural substances (herbal medicines), the color of the granules may vary slightly.
