-Jishin T-ji-t-- is a formula recorded in the Chinese medical text -Wanbing Huichun,- considered a classic of Kampo medicine. In Kampo, ear disorders are often viewed as stemming from kidney deficiency and are frequently treated with Kampo formulas that enhance kidney function. From a modern perspective, the kidneys are often thought of as the organs responsible for excreting excess fluids accumulated in the body. However, in Kampo, the kidneys are understood in a broader sense.It is considered the organ providing the driving force for life activities, involved in reproduction, growth, and development. Therefore, a decline in this function is thought to accelerate aging, leading to ear abnormalities such as tinnitus and hearing loss as manifestations of aging. Jishin T-ji-t- is used based on this concept.
