This formula is featured in the classical Chinese medical texts Shanghan Lun and Jingui Yaolue, considered foundational works of Kampo medicine. It is effective for colds and stiff shoulders. It works well for early cold symptoms like fever, chills, and persistent coldness.
Health Advice
Rest your body. To recover quickly from a cold, get plenty of sleep and keep your body at rest.Also, aim for nutritionally balanced meals to build up your strength. Pay attention to ventilation. Polluted air can trigger coughing. Even when using heating, open windows occasionally to let in fresh air. Also be mindful of low humidity. Keep your body warm. When you have a cold, easy-to-digest foods like rice porridge or warm milk are suitable. Drinking ginger tea is also one way to warm your body.

Take the following dosage 3 times daily before meals or between meals with water or warm water. Alternatively, dissolve in warm water, stir well, and take warm.- Ages 7 to under 15: 1 packet per dose, 3 times daily - Ages 4 to under 7: 3/4 packet per dose, 3 times daily - Under 4 years: 1/2 packet per dose, 3 times daily (1) When administering to children, ensure it is taken under the guidance and supervision of a parent or guardian.(2) For infants under 1 year old, prioritize seeking medical attention from a doctor and administer only when absolutely necessary.
Adult daily dosage: 3 packets (1 packet = 2.0g) contains the following ingredients. Kakkonto Extract -...5200mg [Extracted from 8.0g kudzu root, 4.0g each of ma-huang and tai-s-, 3.0g each of cinnamon bark and peony root, 2.0g licorice root, 1.0g ginger root.] Contains the following additives: hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glycol. Since this product uses extracts from natural substances (herbal medicines), the color of the granules may vary slightly.
