- -Kakkonto- is a formula recorded in the Chinese medical texts -Shanghan Lun- and -Jingui Yaolue,- considered classics of Kampo medicine. It is effective for colds and stiff shoulders.- It is effective for symptoms at the onset of a cold, such as fever, chills, and persistent coldness. Health Advice Rest your body. To recover quickly from a cold, get plenty of sleep and keep your body at rest. Also, aim for nutritionally balanced meals to build up your strength. Pay attention to ventilation. Polluted air can trigger coughing.Even when using heating, open windows periodically to exchange stale air for fresh air. Also be mindful of low humidity. Keep warm.
