The active ingredient in Tylenol A, acetaminophen, combines two effects: -fever reduction- and -pain relief.- It primarily acts on the -thermoregulatory center- in the brain, dilating blood vessels to release heat from the body and lower fever. It is thought to alleviate various pains such as headaches, menstrual cramps, and joint pain by suppressing substances in the brain that transmit information about fever and pain.The stomach naturally produces prostaglandins (PG), substances that protect the stomach lining from stomach acid. Tylenol A has minimal effect on these PG, allowing it to be taken on an empty stomach with gentle efficacy. However, during chills and fever associated with colds, avoid taking it on an empty stomach if possible.

Take the following dosage. However, when taking for chills or fever due to a cold, avoid taking on an empty stomach if possible. - Adults (15 years and older) ... 1 tablet per dose, up to 3 times daily. Allow at least 4 hours between doses.- Under 15 years old... Do not take. (1) Strictly adhere to the dosage and administration instructions. (2) How to remove the tablet: Press firmly with your fingertip on the raised part of the PTP sheet containing the tablet to break the aluminum foil backing, then remove and take the tablet. (Swallowing it whole by mistake may lead to unexpected accidents such as piercing the esophageal mucosa.)
